
Development Associate
The development associate will oversee the fundraising and outreach efforts of OneVoice, the flagship undertaking of the PeaceWorks Foundation. The position works alongside staff members, including the executive director and president, and the OneVoice board to coordinate outreach to the movement’s existing support base, especially the New York, Boston, Chicago and California areas. He/She must provide initiative, energy, and imagination in helping to achieve OneVoice’s mission and development goals.
Specific Responsibilities include:
• Assisting with the creation of the annual fundraising plan and implementing all development activities, including fundraising trips, personal solicitations and special events
• Coordinating and implementing a plan to diversify and expand OneVoice’s donor base, as well as managing small and prospective donor relations
• Researching and establishing relationships with family donors, private foundations, and corporations, and working with program staff to write grant proposals and promotional materials
• Managing fundraising events (including one major and several smaller events annually) and all donor programs
• Maintaining accurate donor database records, file reports and managing development administration and logistics
A successful candidate will have:
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
• Fundraising experience in the non-profit sector, or equivalent experience in the cultural and arts arena
• Demonstrated success with small and large donors and foundation fundraising
• Strong understanding of the political dynamics in the Middle East
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment
• Capacity to work with diverse donor communities and diverse grassroots constituencies
• Computer literacy is a must, including all Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Experience with Sharepoint and Salesforce software a plus

The New York office of OneVoice is accepting applications for fall internships.
Interns will be responsible for providing administrative and logistical support to our full-time staff. Each intern is asked to work a minimum of 15 hours per week, 3-5 days a week for 3 months. Interns are needed in the areas of communications/media, international education programming, and fundraising. Please specify your area of interest in your application.
